Training Programs
Product
knowledge. Applications expertise.
Those may be two of the most important requirements for successfully
selling polymers to the water and wastewater treatment markets.
That's why you'll want to take advantage of the technical training
capabilities SNF has developed as part of a continuing commitment to
support SNF polymer distributors.
Technical training programs are conducted solely for the individual
distributor. As a result, training is ideally suited to meet your
special needs.
Personalized
Training content can be tailored to focus on technology and
applications in which you are most interested. This maximizes the
opportunity for detailed problem solving, providing more value in
your day-to-day business.
Growing
The introductory “phase 1” training can be augmented with “phase 2,
advanced” training. Phase 2 is designed to improve selling and
negotiating skills with a focus on the polymer market, as well as
advanced polymer application training geared to take your attendees
to the next step in their careers.
Convenient
SNF works to schedule your training programs at a time that is most
convenient for you and your business needs, but generally phase 1 is
taught the first week of each month. Reserve your spot now!
Economical
SNF provides technical training programs to our distributors
free-of-charge in the interest of promoting mutual business success.
Your only investment is for travel and living expenses for your
representatives when training is conducted at the Riceboro site.
The Riceboro Seminar
The Riceboro seminar has proven to be one of the most popular with
SNF distributors. It's an intensive two-day session during which you
and your people will have the opportunity to interact with leading
experts from the SNF manufacturing, research, technical support,
quality control, and customer service staffs.
Classroom sessions are balanced with valuable hands-on experience
during visits to production facilities, research and quality control
labs, technical support, and customer service operations.
Day One
Product knowledge is the focus of the first day's training.
The morning workshop is designed to familiarize you with the
complete SNF product line and to increase your understanding of
performance-determining characteristics such as polymer chemistry
and structure; charge and charge density; molecular weight and MW
distribution; and product form, among others.
You'll come away better equipped to select the most appropriate
products to evaluate for any particular application.
During the afternoon, you'll visit the polymer production plants,
quality control labs, and feed equipment manufacturing facility.
Day one concludes with an orientation by the SNF Customer Service
staff. You'll get practical advice about how to fully utilize the
capabilities we offer to assure client satisfaction - both yours and
your own customers' - for everything from requesting samples...to
placing and tracking orders...to
preventing and resolving problems.
Day Two
Applications expertise is the focus of the second day's training.
During the morning session, market specialists from our technical
support staff will review typical polymer applications such as water
and wastewater treatment, paper production, minerals processing, and
others. You'll learn the practical tips they've developed over years
of experience ranging from
how to select the best polymer...to how to design the most
cost-effective treatment program...and how to feed and monitor
polymer treatment to optimize results. Emphasis will be placed on
problem-solving group discussions of your specific applications.
The afternoon is devoted to sharpening your skills in conducting lab
and field evaluations. Procedures for preparing polymer test
solutions and for performing and documenting gravity drainage and
jar and cylinder settling studies will be reviewed and demonstrated;
then you'll get hands-on practice during a supervised workshop.
Day two concludes with a proficiency exam and the awarding of
training certificates.
